Remington 700 Muzzleloading Rifle .50 caliber. It seems like yesterday when the hunter's interest in modern muzzleloader designs caused the industry to add countless firearms to the market place. Remington, Ruger, and Winchester all expanded their modern firearm line to include a muzzleloader. If memory serves mecorrect, for two years the Remington 700 Muzzleloader was king of the market. Everyone wanted a Remington and would pay the high price required to own one. This was for good reason as the Remington 700 was noted for extreme range and accuracy. Then along came the break open design, and the old bolt action became history. The fact remains that the Remington 700 shoots just as far, and just as good as any muzzleloading rifle ever offered.
The good news is that now a Remington ML Rifle has an extremely low price tag. The bore, which has pronounced rifling is somewhat darker than one would find on an unfired muzzleloader; this being the only departure from its otherwise positive condition.

Lyman Trade Rifle caliber .50 percussion. When one checks the price of America's most popular Hawken rifle, and recoils from sticker shock, it is nice to know that the Lyman muzzleloading firearms are a respite from the high cost of owning recreated traditional muzzleloading firearms. Lyman chose the name "Trade Rifle" to best demonstrate the qualities of this sturdy and functional gun whose ancestor was developed for the early Indian fur trade of the Rocky Mountain region. The one in forty-eight inch rate of twist is well suited to both patched round ball, and conical projectile shooting, with a high degree of accuracy using either. The twenty-four inch octagon barrel measures fifteen-sixteenth across the flats, and is mounted with traditional fixed sights. Condition is new.

Remington Zouave .58 caliber military rifle (Hy Hunter Zoli). The inspiration to this Antonio Zoli recreation is the Civil War offering by the Remington Firearms Company. The original fifty-eight caliber rifle was considered one of the best designs of the time period. Regrettably, the Remington Zouave saw little or no use on the battlefields of 1860 America. Forgiving this misfortune of fate the Remington Zouave rifled musket is still one of the most recreated guns from the Civil War period, and with good reason. The Zouave is somewhat shorter than the full length musket allowing for positive handling and better balance; affording excellent accuracy. This Hy-Hunter (Zoli) Zouave is in exceptional condition and shows little evidence of previous ownership. The bore is bright with positive rifling. The box and papers are absent.

Thompson Center Black Diamond .50 caliber muzzleloading rifle. During the mad race to manufacture the perfect modern muzzleloading firearm many rungs in the ladder fell by the wayside; the Thompson Center Black Diamond muzzleloading rifle was one such firearm. For whatever reason we all agreed that the break-open design was the optimum and all other designs should be abandoned. What a shame that the Black Diamond had to loose favor. It was an excellent shooting firearm, which came equipped from the Thompson Center factory with fiber optic sights and a drilled receiver for scope mounting if desired. The deep blued steel barrel and black synthetic stock would insure that the firearm would handle the worst that the weather could offer and in essence last a lifetime. In addition the rifling is cut for the .50 caliber sabot; and as we all know there is only one caliber that is accepted these days for muzzleloading, and that is fifty caliber.

Hawken Woodsman, by Traditons .50 caliber percussion. To supply those purists among us with a realistic copy of the desired firearms Traditions Company imports the Hawken Woodsman; a muzzleloading firearm that represents what was great about our firearms heritage. The Hawken Woodsman has a reliable percussion ignition aided by double-set adjustable triggers. The rate of twist is one-in-forty eight; perfect for both conical and round ball projectiles. The sights are adjustable, but retain the appearance of those rifles from years past. This is a new firearm.

Thompson Center New Englander .50 Traditional Muzzleloading Rifle. The twenty-four inch round barrel is fitted with a factory windage / elevation adjustable rear sight, and a Thompson Center bead front sight. The barrel is of the hooked breech design typically found on all Thompson Center's traditional line of quality muzzleloaders. The hooked breech allows for easy removal of the barrel when cleaning with hot soapy water. The round barrel allows the New Englander model Thompson Center rifle to convert from rifle to shotgun without sacrificing the appearance. Regrettably the shotgun barrel is seldom encountered as the New Englander model is several years out of production. This New Englander has an excellent bore, with an synthetic stock to match. There are light dings and scratches common to all used firearms but nothing out of the ordinary.
