This rifle's previous owner used the Browning Mountain Rifle as a hunting rifle inflicting the scar common to all hunters' rifles. Kentucky Flintlock .50 cal (Traditions) Muzzleloading Rifle. It is correct to assume that the original Kentucky rifle had a longer barrel, and did not have the brass joining plate midway on the forearm.
