Buffalo Skinner (historic recreation) Knife in kit form. The current census of the United States Buffalo herd estimates a large increase in the population. With so many Americans turning from the tradition of hunting passed down to us from our forefathers, and opting for video games, both at home and hand held devices, it will be no time until it will become necessary to dispatch those invading bison from our yards and vegetation. Once putting the buffalo on the ground, and sending their soul's to the great beyond, it will become a foremost challenge to remove the hide and begin the process of filling the freezer. This Buffalo Skinner Knife Kit will fit the bill, and make the previous marauding buffalo a handsome addition to your frozen food department. The knife has a carbon steel blade which will require a few passes on the sharpening stone to complete the work at hand.

Patch Knife (kit). Once you realize that you have become addicted to the traditional aspects of muzzleloading, and even under duress will never admit to owning an in-line muzzleloader, it becomes of the utmost of importance that nothing of this date and time should be used in your pursuit of the blackpowder pastime. Those round Band-Aid looking precut shooting patches must be abandoned and replace with a strip of pillow ticking in accordance with the proper method of loading a muzzleloading firearm. Of course it is also correct to then use a patch cutting knife typical of the time period. This patch knife kit has everything you need to have a noteworthy finished example of an antique tool that would have been found in the possibles bag of our frontier ancestors. The deer horn grips can be exaggerated, when, around the campfire you go into great detail of the hunting trip where, through your muzzleloading hunting prowess, the deer antler originated.

Bayonet, (antique) for British Enfield Two-Band Rifle. This Enfield Two-Band Rifle Pattern Sword Bayonet has experienced years of neglect. The scabbard which protected the blade was the last line of defense to allow the blade to be protected from the ravages of time. A study of the condition of the blade shows the most severely eroded area of the blade to be where the leather portion of the scabbard met the blade. The tip and the area of the blade closest to the hilt were better protected by the brass covered sections of the scabbard. The grip shows evidence of the checkering. The metal found in the grip area, which had the least protection bears the most corrosion. The blade has a very visible crest which is a helmet. Also encountered on the blade is the letter "S" over the number "8".

Rapier Sword (Renaissance period) replica. If you re-enact a period of history then you already know how to spell re-enactment, and, if you recreate the Renaissance Period the spelling of Renaissance is also committed to memory. Well, I, not being part of the informed had no idea and my guess at spelling proved so bad that spell check was unable to correct my efforts. That being said I am informed that this is a "Rapier" and should fit the period quite well. The sword looks to be in new condition will all blood stains real or imagined nicely removed.

Civil War (Union) Staff & Field Officers Sword (Re-creation). The resemblance between this newly manufactured Civil War Staff & Field Officers Sword to the original which it duplicates is remarkable. The sheath from an appearance standpoint also duplicates the original. Only the balance separates the quality of the two swords, with the replica being somewhat blade heavy. The basket hilt encloses the letter "U.S." with much embellishment in comparison to the original officer's sword of the Nineteenth Century. The blade is etched also in accordance with the design of the original.

1860 Light Cavalry Saber (imported). With the current price of an Ames manufactured Civil War period saber getting close to the four digit price range one is forced to look elsewhere for the appropriate item to adorn the walls of our retreats. Correct, the replica saber does not posses the balance of the original, but, neither are we going to use the blade for its intended utility purpose, although, a home intruder would certainly has cause to consider a hasty retreat should he be confronted by an angry home owner ready to protect his abode. The saber comes with the appropriate steel scabbard.

D-Guard Confederate Bowie with Sheath (re-creation). " We show them our knives and they run like chickens" a statement made in the filming of the One-Hundred and Twenty-Fifth re-enactment of the Battle of Bull Run (Manassas). His words, although some one-hundred years plus, evokes the feeling of the Confederate Soldier during the first few campaigns of the War of Union Aggression. Today, as then, the D-Guard Bowie signifies the lost cause of those who fought for states rights. The next time you have you image transferred to a tin type consider holding this D-Guard Bowie it may invoke a renewal of our honor to the republic.
