Sharps, model 1874 Rifle, caliber .45-70 Government.
Offered by Armi-Sport and imported by Taylor Company this recreation of the favored Nineteenth Century Buffalo Rifle is fitted with the standard Sharps barrel mounted sight, and in addition the front sight is a windage adjustable spirit level globe sight. The tang is fitted with a Vernier mid-range peep sight with windage adjustment on the staff. The installed sights offer the extreme accuracy required for the most competitive long range capability. There are two very small impressions to the wood. One, located on the forearm near the receiver, the other is found on the buttstock. Mentioning this covers all the imperfections that a close examination could discover.

Browning model 1886 lever-action 45-70 rifle.
The serial number is 04088PT1XX. The tang is stamped BROWNING MODEL 1886, this is worth mentioning as the tang is free from the safety found on the recent manufacture of the model 1886 Winchester. Records indicate that the Browning model 1886 was manufactured in a quantity of 7000 rifles in the year 1986. The octagon barrel is twenty-six inches in length with a feed tube of eight round capacity. This Browning model 1886 rifle has two faint scratches located on the right hand side of the receiver above the loading gate.

| “Soule” base tang sight. A well documented fact is the accuracy that can be achieved from your blackpowder cartridge rifle when the proper tang sight is fitted. The “soule” base affords the accuracy needed when five-hundred to one thousand yard accuracy is required. This high precision Creedmor sight with 4” (101.6 mm) elevation. One full turn of the windage knob changes the left or right aim point by 2.5minutes of angle (in ∏ minute increments). Quick and accurate return to center or previous setting is another big advantage. Ample windage movement for any shooting conditions. Distance between the two mounting holes: 23/16”up to 25/16” (56 up to 58.2mm).
